The main way to contribute to the energy transition is by choosing renewable sources, since energy generated by wind, photovoltaic, hydroelectric, or biomass power plants contribute to avoid CO2 emissions, reducing the impact on the planet’s climate.
Ecoplan has managed to achieve the highest standards of energy management by choosing renewable sources, reducing emissions even for a year as challenging as 2020. This choice provided a reduction of 234,248 tCO2 equivalent of greenhouse gas emissions. The emission avoided by the company is equivalent to the CO2 sequestration accomplished by about 28,717,000 Atlantic Forest trees during one year!
The certificate was issued according to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, considering the incentive energy contracts signed by Ecoplan in 2020, which were made compatible with the data from the Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization – CCEE.
